Tooth pain??? Sensitive teeth??? Broken teeth??? Yellow teeth??? Plaque??? Gum issues???
We’re about to make another batch of our Protective Whitening Toothpaste.
Recently I broke a front tooth. Several back teeth are also broken but have not troubled me since using magnesium toothpaste. I lay back in the dentist’s chair and waited for him to tell me he had to whip them all out, given that I cannot remember either of my parents ever having their own teeth. Instead, he told me I had a “very healthy mouth, and whatever I was doing, keep it up”. He said my back broken teeth had formed a mineral coating over themselves and are now just “funny shaped” teeth. He advised me to wait to have them repaired until I am ready to have my amalgam fillings removed. At 64, I only needed a front tooth repair, due to general wear and tear.
Magnesium is mineralizing and is believed to dissolve plaque, over time, whitening and brightening the teeth. It supports whole tooth integrity and is required for calcium to be properly incorporated in the structure of the teeth. Teeth with higher magnesium content were significantly less susceptible to decay, in a recent study. It is thought magnesium may protect teeth from acid erosion.
Bentonite Clay is a powerful and safe heavy metal detoxifier and alkalizer, and may remove heavy metals, including mercury, from the mouth.
Licorice root, which is naturally 30 times sweeter than sugar, is believed to support good gum and oral health by preventing and reducing the growth of bacteria associated with tooth decay and gum disease.
Glycosides in stevia, another natural sweetener, are an effective antibacterial agent that fights cavity-causing bacteria.
Flavonoids in cinnamon can fight inflammation, reducing swelling and tooth pain. Cinnamon also helps to soothe tender gums.
Peppermint oil can inhibit biofilm formation in the oral cavity in addition to providing a therapeutic benefit in treating periodontitis, gingivitis, and halitosis. Peppermint’s cooling and numbing properties can soothe tooth aches, while also freshening the breath.
Clove oil contains anaesthetic and antibacterial “eugenol”, which can be useful support for toothache or tooth pain.
Eucalyptus oil kills bacteria and is commonly used in mouth washes and dental products.
Hemp seed oil soothes gums and may support freshening of the breath.
Aloe kills odour causing bacteria and protects the gums.
Charcoal helps to remove surface stains form the teeth.
Coconut oil has been used for centuries, by many cultures, to reduce bad bacteria in the mouth, prevent gingivitis and tooth decay, and for bad breath.
All of the above, and nothing else, is in our Protective Whitening Toothpaste.
