Euphorbia is found all over the world, including all over New Zealand.
It’s draught tolerant and, in fact, hates to be overwatered.
It’s believed to be anti-herpes, antitumor, antileishmanial, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial.
It contains a natural latex that may be an irritant for those allergic to latex.
Historically it has been used to treat skin diseases, gonorrhoea, migraine, intestinal parasites, warts, female disorders, respiratory ailments (cough, coryza, bronchitis, and asthma), worm infestations in children, dysentery, jaundice, pimples, digestive problems, tumours and more.
Isn’t nature amazing. It gives us the chemicals we need to right our own in plants.
It’s not meant to be complicated to be well. Nor is it meant to be expensive.
